The "Golden Hog" - the 2009 Hog's Back Road Race Sunday 13th December 2009

Update : Race photos can be found on www.philoconnor.com Congratulation to all 841 competitors who finished the Golden Hog. Conditions for December were excellent with a little light patchy rain but at least a following wind on the final half mile. Congratulations to Shaun Collins of Enfield & Haringey who won the race in an awesome time of 40:26. First lady was Emily Adams of Aldershot Farnham & District in a time of 46:13 and 20th place overall. Thanks runners for arriving early and your cooperation and patience with the tag distribution. Thanks to Sport Systems electronic timing we managed to get almost instant publishing of times and positions at the finish. A couple of apologies.... We had a slight mix up on the porta-loo order (our rule of thumb is at least one per 100 entrants). So we didn't have as many as needed and the queues were rather long. Also, water distribution on the Hogs Back was a struggle and we ran out for some of the later runners. We'll get this right next year. Here are the race results.
