National Junior League April 29th at Portsmouth

Running into a strong head wind at Portsmouth sprinters Nathan Samuyiwa and Michael Jansen made a winning start to their 2012 track and field season winning the A and B 100m. They almost completed the double but Samuyiwa was pipped on the line in the A 200m.  Jansen won the B race. The middle distance squad then demonstrated that their winter training has gone well with Toby Borthwick taking second place in the A 800m in a new lifetime best of 2.02.6.  Chris Zahn and Hugo Madden then fought it out for first place in the B race with Zahn just coming out on top in 2.09.1  with Madden finishing second in 2.09.3.  Both times were personal bests.
