The Club had its most successful ever outing at the County Road Relay Championships yesterday – with four of our five ‘A’ teams upgrading their medal by one place over the corresponding fixture two years ago!  In summary:

GOLD – Senior ladies – Chloe Crossman, Carolyn Baxter (4nd fastest lady), Suzie Monk (2nd fastest) and Eleanor Harrison (5th fastest) – won by almost 3 minutes!

GOLD – V50 men – Dave Williams (2nd fastest V50), Phil Pryke (5th fastest), Mark Tennyson (3rd fastest) and Terry Booth (fastest leg) – won by almost 5 minutes!

SILVER – Senior men – Tom Foster (5th fastest leg), James Share, Matt McDaniel, Harry Boyd, James Harvey and George Dollner (3rd fastest leg)

SILVER – V40 men – Lee Lintern, Rob Harrison, Rob Marcus and Nick Tearle (5th fastest V40 leg)

BRONZE – F45 ladies – Susanna Harrison, Wendy Roberts and Rebecca Brennan

For the first time, we also fielded complete B teams for the senior men and ladies. Well done to Eleanor Walker, Clare Coley-Maud, Emily Relton, Jenny Paxman, Simon Goldsworthy, Mike Garnett, James Lacey, Dan Milton, Chris Coles and Robin Boon.

Cardiff 5K


Last Sunday, Dave Williams had a superb run to take the Welsh M55 5K title with a massive PB of 17:13 at the Cardiff 5K. In a break-through effort, Dave achieved his first 90%+ age graded performance (whilst winning his age category by over a minute!).
Chloe Crossman also had a very strong run to clock a season’s best of 18:07.

‘Maidenhead’ Half Marathon


Due to reduced entries this year, the organisers switched the event from the closed-road Maidenhead loop to four laps of Dorney Lake! Using the event a marathon-paced training runs, Terry Booth (48th in 1:25:37) and Ben Gilmore (64th in 1:29:14) sliced their way through the field in the latter stages as late-summer heat took its toll on the majority of the competitors.

Paddock Wood Half Marathon


Karen Bryant also continued her marathon preparations with a 1:39:04 PB to finish 11th of the 155 F45 ladies at Paddock Wood earlier today.
